Air & Waste Management Association Conference: Patricia Sharkey Leads Panel

November 15, 2012 – At the 2012 Air Quality Management Conference of Lake Michigan States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association, Pat Sharkey led a panel of experts in a unique “case study” presentation, titled “Putting It All – Together Successfully Navigating Air Permitting and Modeling Challenges.” The panel focused on a hypothetical “major modification” to an Illinois chemical plant and provided a step-by-step explanation of the Clean Air Act “new source review” permitting process with commentary from the sometimes differing perspectives of the permittee’s environmental manager, the environmental consultant, the environmental lawyer, and the permitting agency. This premier annual air conference also featured top air regulators from USEPA Region 5 and three Lake Michigan states, industry environmental managers, environmental lawyers, consultants and technology providers.
